Satellite navigation, like most technology, is getting cheaper and cheaper – you can even pick up a Tomtom for little over £100 these days.So at £400, the top-of-the-range Go 930 Traffic from the same company has to do quite a lot to justify its price...

As someone who spends too much time in his car due to Ireland’s notoriously clogged-up road networks, a device that helps navigate around traffic jams ought to be a godsend. And in fairness, the boffins at TomTom think of everything. Its satnavs now co...

When it comes to satellite navigation systems TomTom is top dog. Its Go 720 had been sitting pretty atop our A List for nine months when we set out to knock it off its perch in our satnavs Labs last month, and it's still there, having beaten the compet...

You’d be forgiven for thinking that the TomTom Go 930 would be an easy sell. Not necessarily. Most people who want sat-nav, have it. A massive proportion of those people have one of TomTom’s previous models. So, in a way, they’re going to need some new...

Heartily recommended, but not a massive leap forward from the previous version...

If you currently own a GO 720, then there is no real reason to upgrade, as most of the improvements are software upgrades. If you are looking for a high-end GPS with all of the latest features though, the GO 930 is excellent, if a little overpriced...

Spend £100 on a sat nav and you can expect regional maps, and at the most safety camera info. Spend £300-400 and it will play music, answer calls and display photos. TomTom has been the undisputed sat nav king for years, with every other manufacturer...

TomTom 930T: Advanced features like Map share, Navigon 8110 :Clear maps to make your journey much smoother...

TomTom 930T:Route calculation not quite as fast as Navigon, Navigon 8110: Rather heavy to carry in a pocket...

The 8110 cant match the TomTom for coverage or features, but for sheer ease of use, this is a serious contender for King sat nav.

The TomTom 930 T, is slimmer than the round-backed devices of yesteryear, solid and well built. As portable satnav units go, the TomTom looks positively super. TomTom barely has to do a thing to continue to be the leading brand in personal satellite...

For all these niggles – and the odd glaring error – the TomTom 930 T is a quality piece of kit and one we would happily use again. It successfully got us to our destination despite some very obscure locations being entered and its generally a...
