The U10 is a stylish, compact portable media player - but it lacks storage capacity. Taste is an individual thing, but we doubt many people would accuse the sleek U10 of being ugly. Nor are its controls clunky, as those of so many MP3 players sadly a...

There's an interesting story behind the U10. Apparently, the head of River got together the whole design and engineering team in Korea and told them to that they needed to change their thinking. He told them to go back to the drawing board and come up...

The U10 has an innovative interface that works well. The player is feature laden, with music, pictures, video, text, radio and games in one tiny package. The downsides are the relatively high price and the clumsy method of getting content onto the dev...

Swiss watches would give their rotating bezels to be as solid and jewel-like as this tiny media player. There’s also something about the way the pivoting screen clicks when you press your way through the menus. And it has a clock. Sensibly minimalis...

Fantastic looks. Great controls, to rival the Nano.

May feel like an Apple opposer for no reason other than that its just as good.

A gorgeous player with controls that can compete with the Nano’s but at a price tag that can’t...

Despite all these years, I can say that there are still only a select few MP3/PMP players that I think were exceptionally designed and were certainly worth the money or consideration. This includes both flash-based and hard drive based players. iRiver...

Finally, companies that make media players (besides Apple) are thinking different. The iriver U10 represents a leap forward in design—or at least a good attempt at one. Its a flash-based audio player that can also play video on its 2.2-inch LCD scre...

Very good audio quality and photo capabilities. Interesting design. Supports Macromedia Flash games and animation. Good battery life.

Transferring photos requires using included conversion software. Video format requirements are slightly odd, and software isnt included. Video playback is jumpy.

If youre really hot on the design, love silly Flash games, and dont really care about video playback, the U10 is a good, but expensive, choice...
